Watson Island State Forest Management Plan Advisory Group

Public Meeting #1

• Date and Time: Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 6:00 pm
• Location: St Johns County Agricultural Center/Extension Office, Windstorm Building, 3125 Agricultural Center Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32092-0572
• Purpose: To allow the Watson Island State Forest Management Plan Advisory Group to prepare for a public hearing later in the evening which will provide recommendations to the DOF to help in preparation of a management plan for the Watson Island State Forest.

Public Hearing

• Date and Time: Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 6:30 pm
• Location: St Johns County Agricultural Center/Extension Office, Windstorm Building, 3125 Agricultural Center Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32092-0572
• Purpose: To solicit comments on management of the Watson Island State Forest. Comments may be presented orally or in writing at the hearing. Written comments may also be submitted to the DOF’s Watson Island State Forest C/O Matanzas State Forest Office at 6840 US 1 South, St. Augustine, FL 32086, to the attention of Matthew Kennard and should be mailed so as to arrive at the office by the date of the public hearing.

Public Meeting #2

• Date and Time: Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 6:00 pm
• Location: St Johns County Agricultural Center/Extension Office, Windstorm Building, 3125 Agricultural Center Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32092-0572
• Purpose: To allow the Watson Island Forest Management Plan Advisory Group to review comments from the public hearing earlier in the evening and provide recommendations to the DOF to help in preparation of a management plan for the Watson Island State Forest. Download Agenda (pdf, 9k)

Special accommodations for persons with a disabling condition should be requested in writing to the DOF’s Watson Island State Forest office at the listed address at least 48 hours in advance of these proceedings.

You are hereby notified in accordance with Chapter 286.0105, Florida Statutes, should you decide to appeal any decision made as a result of, or take exception to any findings of fact with respect to any matter considered at the hearing and meeting referred to above, you may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made. Such record shall include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
